Back to ignition 140-160 1975

Thanks to you guys who have been responding. I'm getting a little frustrated with this ongoing problem. Driving along last night the 'old girl' decided to stop several times. After much cranking each time she eventually started and I finally got home. I have changed cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I put on a used coil(!) and cleaned as many connections as I could find. I'm wondering if I should buy a new coil, a new ballast resistor or what....any hints? I did fiddle a little with the timing but that doesn't explain the sudden stops and after many minutes of cranking the starting again!
