Rule #1....remove plug only on COLD engine S90

Notwithstanding the above application of various release agents, etc., when you do get around to removing the plug...the head must be cold. Aluminum cools faster/farther than the steel plug and will loosen the plug as much as it can with a cold head. Hot head will tighten up the plug.

If you have access to a cooling agent you can also chill the plug....don't worry about cracking the head or the plug tower...you just want to break the weld and get your favorite Kroil or LiquidWrench in there.
