Re: Stalling 700 89

the hot long crank condition is probably due to a leaking-back fuel rest

pressure check valve. I am new to this site and it amazes me how many parts you guys will replace by guessing. (including you dan)

why not buy a cheap fuel pressure gauge, find a way to connect it to the

fuel rail(it won't be easy) and after shutting off the engine, watch to

see how quickly the fuel rest pressure drops.

the car runs at approx. 35 psi. when you shut off the engine it jumps to

approx. 40 psi. it should drop only slightly over the next 15 mins. by slightly i mean approx. 5 psi. if it's dropping faster than that, it's going somewhere. it's either going directly into the intake manifold because the diagphram in the fuel pressure regulator is leaking (not very common) or it's leaking back to the fuel tank because the rest pressure valve is leaking(very common)
