Of course you want to check all of the standard stuff like electrical connectors, ground connections (the ones on the intake manifold, etc.

Take the intake hose of at the throttle body and look inside - if there is crud on the throttle plate and on the bore around the throtle plate, remove the throttle body and clean it thoroughly. Inspect all vacuum lines for leaks, cracks, and check injector seals and intake manifold gasket for vacuum leaks.

Try ticking the starter several times (4) without starting the engine, then try to start it - if it goes, replace the main fuel pump check valve.

Check the in-tank pump to be sure it is working (also fuse 5, I think, which supplies the in-tank pump).\

Does it make a difference whether the tank is full or not?
