removal of ignition switch? 240-260 83

ICQ>

Hi

My ignition switch recently died and I purchased one from a salvage yard. I thought I was in for an easy job. It was easy enough to hook up the new one - but the old one is held in place by a couple of bolts that appear to have been snapped off at the factory(security reasons?). The bolts are accessable from the bottom but the tips are rounded and smooth.

Now when I start my car it looks like I'm hot-wiring the thing as people watch me bending over to turn the ignition switch.

Any ideas would be much appreciated...
