Re: sunroof problem 740-760 88

ICQ>

It sounds to me like the sunroof motor cam gear which drives the sunroof cable has skipped a few or so teeth on the cable and lost its original position. Close the sunroof completely. Now remove the sunroof motor. Now you have to set the motor to its original position with the sunroof now closed. Press & hold the sunroof button(bottom side of course) as if to slide the sunroof back to the open position until the motor stops. Do it again just to make sure. At this point the motor should not run when the bottom side of the switch is pressed. Now press & hold the button(top side) as if to close the sunroof until the motor stops. The motor is now reset to the sunroof close position! Now reinstall the motor back to its proper place making sure the cam gear sits properly on the cable. That's all there is to it!!
