Odometer Problem Fixed! 240-260 1984

ICQ>

I thought I'd share my findings with you guys. My odometer was working intermittently so I took it out looked at the gear teeth- OK. I found that the metal gear next to the smallest digit on the total mileage indicator was slipping on the shaft. I took it out and pounded some ridges on the opening that the metal shaft goes through to give it a good grip. Problem solved. My brother's odometer was stopping at .9 miles on his 81 240- I took it out- same problem-fixed. Hope this helps someone out.

Mike
