Your assumptions are correct on all counts.

It's been a few weeks since the installation, and the Turbo+ kit is performing exactly as it's been described. The gearing on my 940T is very conservative (i.e. it shifts up very quickly, for fuel economy I'm assuming), so under normal driving conditions it's not even noticable. If you punch the throttle, kick it down to second gear and rev the engine hard past 3,000 rpm right up to redline, the car really takes off. Being close to 250 pounds lighter than the 780, the 940 is now easily a faster car (it probably was even before the Turbo+ kit, but with the extra 25 hp it's a sure thing).
Had I bought the kit retail from the dealer, it would have cost me $758. I was able to get it special ordered from Brentwood Volvo in St. Louis for $530 (and no sales tax). The local dealer service shop put it in for $147 in labor (it took them just over two hours). Full throttle boost readings before and after the installation showed a good increase (10 to 14.5 psi I think), so the kit's doing its thing.
I'm sure at some point Volvo's going to discontinue the kit, so I figured I'd grab one while the going was good. I know there's alot of other shadtree/DIY modifications to get even more power out of the turbo than this kit does, but not having the time, money or desire to go in and tinker with the engine, I felt this was an easier, worthwhile investment for a quick bump up to 188 hp.
