Re: need advice on minor problem 1800 1967

Well.....i had that problem a few times. Usually when that happens, you hope the car is sold to someone else. Anyway, what this means is that the car is getting old. The linkages are getting worn, and it's time to buy new parts. It isn't the key, it's the linkage from the key to the locking mechanism that is the problem. As far as the trunk, what you have is a linkage that is off its place and is flopping around the inside of the trunk compartment. The only thing I suggest is getting a few of your buddies and rocking the hell out of the back of the car. That will hopefully knock the linkage back into place (believe me! That has worked! After a good 3 minutes of shaking) If that doesn't work, well then you can go for a high speed test drive...may I recommend a shopping mall hevilly populated with speed bumps. Good luck to you, and let me know what the outcome is!

Raymond
