Oh, yeah, the mechanic did use a pressure gauge at

one point and it was fine. What he didn't do was

measure the pressure on one of those times it started,

when he would have seen that the pressure dropped off

(probably very suddenly as the crud congealed into

one spot again).

He said this was very much like one of the Volvo

Master Technician classes for FI. They put a small

bearing into the fuel line in different areas, and

you have to guess where it is without disassembling

the system. He might not have passed that class.
