Starting Problem - 6 Volt 120-130 1960

I am having some difficulty starting my B16B Amazon. I have replaced the battery with a new one and have installed another starter motor, but the engine still turns over very slowly. The resulting engine speed is not fast enough to get fuel into the cylinders. I suspect there may be another electrical drain in the circuit. Does anyone have opinions or suggestions as to what I can check next?

I've just acquired this car, so there may be other electrical problems. If I stay on the key for about 30 seconds, the engine does eventually fire and runs OK. The engine was re-built last year and does sound to be in good condition. There is no indication of other major electrical faults, although some minor electrical components are not yet functioning (high beams, right front turn signal). Thanks for any suggestions....Cam
