As Abe said, your carpets will get wet if the condensate is running back into the car. Be aware, however, that there's a plastic "moisture barrier" between the carpet and the foam underlayment. If you get only a little water dribbling down, it might soak into the underlayment, but the carpet will remain dry. And the underlayment will stay wet for a long time.

This is one source of rusty floorpans in 240s.

A little trick is to pop out the drain hose, be sure it is clear, and be sure the stub into the pan is clear. Cut a small "V" into the bottom of the drain hose where the two flaps come together. (Sometimes grunge gets in there and glues the flaps shut.) This "V" should be about 1/8" to 3/16" wide, just enough to let water drip out. Some people object to this, pointing out it creates a path for exhaust, from a leaky system, to get into the car. You be the judge.

Another reason you may see very little condensate is that your weather may be hot but dry.
