16valve woes

For all of you with the 16 Volvo read this. I just replaced the all the gasket on my B234 enigne because I left the timing belt on 20,000 miles more than I should have and it broke, bending 4 exhauset valves. I did the work myself except the reconditioning of the head which was done by a machine shop. The job was just time consuming but not difficult. I did not have the expensive belt tension tool and treated the timing belts as if they were any other timing belt. I also changed the plastic balance pulley with the metal one. If you need to chane the belts on yours, do it and don't be afraid of the job its not at all bad. Runs real nice now.
