MCC Controller and AC Cutting In and Out 900 1993

My 93 945 does not cool well. I had it checked (pumped down and recharged by an independent Volvo guy). I tried to check the pressure at the low side port and noticed that the compressor clutch would click off and on rapidly at ~2000 rpm. By rapdly, I mean like off for 5 - 10 seconds; on for 30 - 60 seconds. At idle the compressor remains on, no unusual noises. I'm thinking the MCC controller could be acting up again. Anyone got any experience with this symptom (I've checked the FAQ). Thoughts appreciated before I pull the MCC.

Possibly a failing clutch?, compressor ready to sieze (Seiko-Seiki), although I just drove it for 8 hours with AC on, would have thought that would have seized it. Also, anyone know if this unit has a high pressure port on it? I haven't been able to find it, yet. Anyone got any thoughts before I pull it out and look for a half broken connection
