The Volvo rear end is Dana 30, which is commonly found in Jeeps. that's why there is a great variety of differentials and gears available for a reasonable price. A LSD from Reider Racing 734-946-1330 will cost you less than half of the same part with a Volvo stamp on it. Same for gears. A set of 4.88 gears from them cost about $150 new. A LSD was about $300 last year.
