Re: Radio Code EEE 200 1993

The radio will only display EEE when the wrong code has been entered and the radio is locked. This won't reset until the radio has been on for either 2 or 4 hours, depending on model. If you got the code from Volvo, and it didn't work, then the radio has been changed. You will have to pull the radio and find the serial & model number, and get Volvo to look up the code for that radio. Once they have that, and it works, ask them to enter that code in the Volvo computer system, so that they'll have the right code associated with your VIN #. (That way when I get that car in trade in a couple of years, the code is correct!)

The display will say "codE" again after you've had the key on for the waiting period (remember to have the radio ON as well!)

By the way, if the radio needs to be removed, remember that '93s have an extra mounting screw in the back, requiring removal of the glovebox.
