Strut removal 200 many

I have had a time trying to remove upper strut bolts on 245. I used an air gun and a tool I got years ago to hold the shaft. It will not come lose. I used the same method on one of our 700's about a year ago. It worked fine at the time. Should I look into special tools from Snap On or Mac for struts. I tried high and low air pressure 30-100 psi. I assume the drive socket it is just rotating on the shaft. Suggestions please I need a method that works. I am also looking forward to installing Bilsteins.
