air mass meter wiring 200 1991

The check engine light on my 1991 245 is on. I'm getting 2-2-1 and 2-3-1 code from the diagnostic system. I think the air mass meter might be failing. Curiously though, I noticed that only 5 wires feed the air mass meter, even though there is a spot for the 6th wire. On my 1988 245, there are 6 wires. I just bought the 1991 245, and it looks like it may have had electrical work done.

Does anyone know if the 6th wire is missing?

Thanks,

David A. Knight
