Leaking Front Seal 200 1982

I just bought three hours ago a 1982 240GL sedan. 185K miles and everything is in good shape and it seems to be well taken care of. Only problem, which is why it was sold, is a extreme oil leak from the from the front seal. I pulled the flame trap and it doesn't seem to be clogged. Is there anything else I should check before replacing the front seals. According to the previous owner the front main seal was recently replaced but after a 30 min drive at 70miles per hours it was leaking again. Any thoughts or lead would be greatly appreciated.
