FYI - Follow Up on Air Spring Thread 200 92

Last week there was a thread on aftermarket adjustable air springs. The "Air Lift 1000" part no. for the kit that fits Volvo 240s/260s is #60783. The size of the bag that fits inside of the coil spring is 4"x9". Internal clearance on my '92 240 wagon with TRW Cargo Coils is ~9.75" (empty with 3/4 tank of gas). It would probably be 1/2" less with stock springs.

Tech info is available at techsupport@airliftcompany.com. Their Support Services Manager answered my e-mails very quickly and sent a pdf file containing a set of installation instructions (very easy).

I found three internet vendors, centuryperformance.com, carshopinc.com, and suspension.com that had part no's and pricing ($67-$74+s/h) on these kits. None of them list Volvo as an application; you need to search on part no. 60783.

BTW, I have no connection with Air Lift Co. other than I'm thinking of buying a kit to install when I take out my cargo coils and go back to stock coils (kid & dog could use a softer ride in back).
