Adjusting AMM to control CO 200 1989

MVP Inc. has a nice tech tip about actually making a tester to attach to the LH 2.0 and LH 2.2 system so that you can control the CO level by adjusting the AMM. See the link below and go to #7.

My problem is that I want to adjust the AMM as described in #7 but I need to do it to an 89 240 which has the LH 2.4 system. There are no pigtails as described for the 2.0 and 2.2 systems. Can someone tell me how to make the necessary adjustments to the LH 2.4 system. This car squeaked by on the CO level of emissions at the last test (two years ago) and I'd like to check the AMM adjustment before I take it in for the test this time. Thanks for any help on this.
