Re: adjusting caster 700 1990

There is a service bulletin for changeing CAMBER, by removing the front mounting stud from the strut top mounting plate, moving the strut in or out to obtain correct camber angle, then drilling a new hole in the strut mounting plate and reinstalling the stud. The CASTER is adjusted by installing longer or shorter strut rod at control arm. Elongating the holes in the strut tower should be a LAST resort if caster cannot be brought into spec with the strut rod replacement. (strut rods are about 14" long, mounts at an angle between a flange on the frame and the lower control arm, Mount at control arm has two bushings, rod is sometimes called "caster rod".
