Check engine light? 200 91

Hello. Today I decided to clean my throttle body out and I cleaned everything out really good, but now the car idles better (which is good) but.... the check engine light stayes lit. I suspect it is because I ran the engine without the Throttle Position Sensor connected, but after I shut off the engine and re-connected it the light still remained on. should it have shut off automatically?, or do I have to reset the computer? and if so do I need to use any special tools to reset it?

Thanks a lot,

Andrew Woods
