I haven't found to many cars at the same weight and engine size that pass me on acceleration.Yeh, the automatic does seem a little quicker in some places, but thats true for most cars, actually.

I can't understand how the Scandanavians have gotten around on those horrible things all these years,in dead winter, from the slipping wheels concept....it defies imagination.

Yet, there i was in the midwest this winter, in snowstorm after snowstorm, passing by all those nice FWD cars....Guess it has to do with the tyres.....and ground clearance....As usual, I found it harder to stop than go....

No, the 240 in its emission safe later models did lose a little horse. They aren't the fastest cars.They could be, but that requires chaning the internals.

anyway, I think all the guy was sayig is there is a time and a place for everything. If someone wants to spend his time doing a conversion, more power to him.
