I am ignorant: is there a flame trap on a 1989 704 with a B230F?

In the past five years I have occasionally looked for the flame trap because when I first bought a replacement airfilter the parts guy gave me a small plastic piece that looked like a spaghetti strainer for my daughter's "Little People." I never found anywhere on the car to put the piece, so: is there a flametrap on a 1989 740 with a B230F? Thanks!
