Re: odometer failure 700 1987

Hi JAAP ....

Have the same problem with the Odometer of my 122S .... however it was on the 15th time around and registering (1,4)97,314 miles ..... for obvious reasons I want to get the odometer going again ... I DO have a couple of other speedo heads with everything working .... but would prefer to repair the original if possible. The other option is having one of the other heads set to the 97,314 figure and installing it .... but it somehow seems like cheating ... I purchased the car in 1997 from the original owner and the speedometer cable was unattached at that time ... when we installed a new speedo cable ... the speedometer worked fine .... but the odometer and trip meter still read as above .... and the car has been on the road continuously since '97.... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ...

Brett
