Bulb out indicator not working properly 200 1986

My 86' 240 DL is showing a brake light out. I have however replaced all rear bulbs. Now, a lens was broken and needed to be replaced. Could water have gotten in and damaged the circuitry? Is there something I can do to replace or test that panel--the panel where you screw the rear bulbs in to? Also, the connector into that board seems to be loose. Suggestions on what I should replace?
