Steering Wheel Vibration and a Click 200 1993

i have a 1993 240 wagon. when braking soft or hard from speeds above 40 mph, my steering wheel vibrates very noticeably. it does not affect steering or stopping. i have a feeling that it might be warped front rotors, but lately i have also noticed a clicking noise (not quite sure where it is coming from) when turning. could these be related or two separate problems? any help is appreciated. also, if it is the rotors how much damage am i doing by continuing to drive?
