lumbar support knobs - can I use something else? 700 1990

I have recently bought a really terrific 740 GLE 16 valve 1990 wagon, and the seats were redone (in vinyl, unforuntately - but they look nice) but whoever did it did not reinstall the knobs for the lumbar support leaving me no way to adjust the seats. I get a backache on long commutes with the support completely gone. I have queried 2 Volvo supply places and never received answers as to how I can obtain at least one of these knobs. I can feel the plastic sheath under the vinyl, so everything might be okay in there. Can anyone suggest an alternative tool to use while I wait to run into a couple of knobs? Maybe some sort of hex wrench? I would very much appreciate the help.

Dean
