Re: Starting problems-HELP! 700 1988

Check the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor. The temperature and resistance figures are in the 700/900 FAQ. Also make sure the coolant temperature sensor connector has not been plugged into the knock sensor and vice versa. When the coolant temperature sensor connector and the knock sensor connector are exchanged, the car will only start when cold. Knock sensor wires are green and coolant temperature sensor wires are gray and black. The knock sensor is in the block and the coolant temperature sensor is in the head under intake manifold runner three. Let me know if you find something.
