Help! about My Oil Filler Cap! 700 1991

I am drive my 740 91' auto, Nonturbo, in a 850 miles long trip.

the when I drived it for about 4 hours yesterday, after I parking it for about 2 hours, I restart the engine, and the service light goes on, I checked the car, the engine oil level is low, need to be added about 1 bottle of Engine oil, Then I notice the oil is coming out from oil filler cap( I am 100% sure of this) the oil flow on the top of the engine toward the firewall, I found the filler cap gasket is bad, and I replace it, add in about a bottle of oil, everything was ok again.

but after I drive it for about another 2 hours, I found oil still comes out from the filler cap:(, but the leakage becomes less.

I am not sure why this happen? is this a sign of replacing my filler cap?

I need your help!

Urgent!

Thank you!

Lux
