Intercooled-watercooled/big disappointment 200 83

Hi guys,

Yes I finally intercooled and watercooled the Garrett, had the water lines,on my 242 glt and what a disappointment.More of a power loss than a power gain.Car runs somewhat sluggishly from standing and I no longer get the nice power surge at higher RPM.Yes its an auto, but had plenty of power before.

Can watercooling the turbo slow the response down?Boost comes up nicely when I accellerate, but no response/power.

What gives?Thinking about just pulling the water lines off the torbo, but it doesnt make sense that watercooling would slow the car down.More likely a leak in the IC plumbing, but boost guage shows pleny of boost.

Thanks for listening.
