Re: I'm changing rotors and pads myself, need advice

just did all four on my 90' 240. easiest brake job ive ever done. the book(bently) said to disconnect the lines to remove the caliper but i found if you are careful you can do it without(hang rotors with a piece of wire to the strut). if you remove the lines they take, on 240, a 11 mm flare nut wrench. use a flare nut only, they are almost glued on! also i read on the brickboard about using a bleeder tool called a power bleeder so i bought one and it is the best thing i ever used to bleed brakes with. look up one of don fosters on brakes and he had the link posted. do not forget to torqe your wheels to 85 ftlbs. to prevent warped rotors. good luck you will be amazed at how simple they are.
