EVAPORATOR leak? 200 1991

Apparently I may have a very small freon leak in my evaporator (or in the general vicinity). I've just recharged the system (2 months ago I repaired the compressor (new seals etc) and recharged) and will see how long it lasts.

My Mechanic used a leak detector and found some freon around the vicinity of the evaporator. What are the chances its the evaporator? Could it be from somewhere else (hopefully less expensive to repair). And finally, how much should I be expecting to pay if it is the evaporator?

Thanks,

Ruben
