A few questions: ipd, m47, tires 700 88

In the March/April issue of the ipd catalog it says results from the photo contest will be announced in the August issue. Did you guys get this issue yet, because I have not yet and I want to see pictures of all of the nice bricks that are out there. Second I remember somewhere seeing a short throw shifter for the m46 and m47 transmission. I can't seem to find it again and was wondering if anybody has seen it or uses it. Lastly I am thinking ahead on winter tires. I know that the smaller the tire the better it is in the snow so I was wondering if I should have my winter tires mounted on Volvo 14" alloys(that I already have) or just put them on my 15"s. What snow tires do you suggest I use? Last year I used Blizzak ws-50 and was very impressed with them but I left them on too long(because I was broke) and they wore very uneven. They are now trashed and I learned a hard $300 lesson. Any suggestions and answers would be very much appreciated.
