About to replace timing belt. What else? 700 1989

My '89 740 GLE (B234 16-valve) is due for timing belt replacement (approaching 210,000 miles). What else should I replace while I am at it?

I've read the FAQ thoroughly and I read how to do all the other tasks. My question is if I should do them. I plan on getting the timing belt, balance shaft belt, oil pump bolt, and water pump. I do have the 5284 crankshaft tool.

I am reluctant/scared to mess with any of the front seals. I am not losing any oil and I do not see any obvious leakage there (I had to replace crankshaft pulley which gave me an opportunity to get the crankshaft tool and inspect the belt). There was little greasy dust around but I assume it got there through small cracks around the belt cover edges. The belt was dry and clean. I am afraid of messing up the cam sprocket alignment and the extensive troubleshooting section in the FAQ gives me big pause on the seal installation. The service records indicate that the seals were replaced at 120,000 miles.

I replaced timing belt on my recently purchased '96 850 because at 106,000 miles the previous owner was too cheap to replace the belt. Since it was an emergency fix, I did just the belt -- no seals. The operation was smooth and flawless. But am I neglecting my engines and/or asking for trouble by not doing the seals?

Is there anything else that I should replace?

Thank you,

Peter
