F.I. internal filter 140-160 1971

On my 142E (fuel injection) - fuel filters question.

I suspect I have debris in my tank, and I'm going to drain it and flush it tomorrow. I have the external filter, but the green book says the internal filter "is a nylon type which does not require to be replaced at certain intervals". Therefore, it doesn't tell you how to replace it.

The parts houses don't list it at all, so it's probably a Volvo-only item. Seems to me I would want to replace that, as I'm cleaning out the entire tank. Maybe I can just clean it?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!
