Re: Idle/Vacuum Problem was Fixed and Now Is Back AGAIN!!! 200 85

Paul,

I must be breathing too many exhaust fumes. Forget what I said. The engine isn't smoothing out that much with the 02 sensor unplugged. Also, when I throttle the engine for warm up and hold at 1500revs, it shakes and hiccups...almost like it is actually missing (has new NGK's, rotor, cap, plug wires)??

BUT, after testing the lambda sond--using Bentley's(which did show voltage fluctuation of 0.2-0.6), there was only .012 on the sensor when unplugged. Must be DEAD. As far as mixture goes, I am assuming it is running rich since it sucks gas AND blows out dark black soot particles(and a bit of water) on start-up.

Any way to measure richness when tweaking mixture screw without 02 sensor??

Thanks again for you assistance,

Let me know if I am going in a bonehead direction!
