Re: what pistons to use??

Brent,

I agree with steve, mahle are the best, but I am 95% sure that volvo's come from the factory with mahle. porsche, bmw, mercedes, audi, saab, volvo, ducati, ktm, all use mahle as original equiptment, there is a reason. Forged pistons are far superior to cast (japanese)plus there is a high silicone content in the pistons, they almost feel slippery to the touch.I had an old ktm off road bike that had a mahle piston in it, and I ran the hell out of this thing for years and years and it never did need a piston, but my friends with japanese bikes were always replacing pistons.anyway, as for the cost,www.thepartsbin.com has them for 288.00 for the set,HUNDREDS less than the dealer and free shipping!!!!!!
