Idle Control Valve 200 1984

Hi,

I recently replaced the Idle Control Valve (aka CIS motor) for a surging idle and the problem was *temporarily* solved. Now the surging idle is back and I'm questioning my orignial diagnosis.

I will test the "air control valve" per Bentley p 242-5, but want to know what else I should test/check when I'm in there to help sort out the root of this problem.

Replacing the idle control valve will give me something enjoyable and costly to do, but I worry that it won't solve the problem.
