My first Volvo..ah I love it. An 85 760 Turbo. Although its bigger than all the little VW hot hatches I've owned in the past, I can't help but love the big girl. Well anyway. Its got 180,000+ miles on it (6000 just this last month! Ah reliability) I've only owned the car a short time, and just noticed somthig that haunts me. My rear suspension, axle, wheels and everything else seem to be shifted!? I can only put maybe 3 fingers tightly between the inner fender wall and inside tire, the other side can swallow a generous 4 fingers...without getting them dirty. I'm going to get under the car when I can get it to a garage. But I'm wondering....could this be really expensive? And if so...am I better off getting another Volvo. Ever since I got mine, I've been looking at other models..like the 240. I bought my car for only $1000..with two sets of studded snow tires thrown in to sweeten the deal (anyone wanna buy a pair?). Since I have bought it I have replaced the timing belt (who hasn't?!) the Alternator (with Volvo original parts!), the power steering pump, dropped a K&N and did some shadetree mechanic airbox work, spark plugs, new brake lines (Burnt a hole in those while replacing the Alt...last time I do that without disconecting the battery) and cleaned up the interior. Should I just cut my losses and sell the thing? I hear my connecting rods suck....but I don't think I need anything over 225 HP anyway. Anyone that can help, thanks. Anyone that can't...thank for hearing me ramble on and on and on about my "Volvo Story"
