ABS Brakes 700 1988

When I first got the car the brake pedal would pulse as I was coming to a stop....when the car was just about stopped. I bled the brakes with not too much change. The last few times I have drove the car the ABS light has come on but the brakes are working fine....better than they did with the light off. Can I drive it this way or will it cause any damage? I am going to sell the car so I don't want to do anymore to it than I have to. Is any quick checks to see what is wrong? I really don't like the ABS brakes anyway.....personal opinion....Thanks for any help...Larry
