Even less power than normal. 200 1986

Hi guys. It's not my week. I've just come back from going to fetch my lunch. I normally drive like a pensioner on valium but the traffic was heavy and i had to boot it to get out into a gap in the traffic. I noticed that the power seems to drop off alarmingly at about 3 - 3.5 thousand RPM. Leads, plugs, rotor arm, dissy cap are all less than 1500k miles old. Any ideas? Oh yeah. Mines a B230 carb model so perhaps some Canadian 'boarders have experience with this ailment.

Thanks in advance,

Rich.
