VX install in 760ti 700 88

I've purchased the VX camshaft/adjustable gear combo from IPD while it was on sale. I'm looking to change it out in the near future and had a question about valve adjustment after the install (I have no idea if the stock and VX camshaft use the same base circle or not):

How likely is it that I will have to change the shims after the camshaft swap? Will, maybe or most likely not?

(Okay, two questions) Are new shims something I can get from NAPA? Or is renting the kit from IPD the way to go?
