alternator wires 200 1985

I have a 1985 245 turbo. Yesterday I exchanged the old 55 amp Bosch alternator for a 70 amp one. According to the parts person I bought it from, the 70 amp was supposed to be standard on the turbos, although it appeared after I removed the old alternator that the 55 amp one was installed at the factory. Incredible to have lasted this long. (215k miles).

In any case the problem is that in my haste to remove the old unit, I did not pay much attention to which wires went where.

There are three wires that need to be attached:

*The chassis ground.

*A heavy gauge wire that appears to come from the starter.

*A smaller wire with a spade connector (bundled in the harness with the heavy "starter" wire)

The alternator appears to have two posts for connecting wires, one marked B+, and one marked D+. The D+ terminal has a male spade connector.

Does anyone know where the other two attach? Both to the B+? I'd rather not use trial and error since the new alternator was about $250.
