Re: Fuel Pump Problem?? 700 1987

Did you check fuse 11 for the in tank fuel pump? They do fail. Fortuneately I check the one on the wife.gov's car before I got to changint the fuel pump.

Let the car idle and remove the gas filler cap. Have an assistant remove fuse 11 while you listen to the filler neck. If the sound does not change, the in tank pump is not working. If the pump is not working, you may want to start checking the elctrical connections since the pump is new.

The car will not run at all if the main fuel pump is not working.
