What engine is in the 87, GLE? 700 87

I have a 1990 B230F engine from a 240 sedan, that is missing an oil pan. I located a wrecked, 1987, 700 series GLE with a pan, but there was so much removed from the top part of the engine that I did not know if it was the same as what I have. Does the GLE have a B230?, and if yes, can I use the pan, will it fit a 90 sedan with a B230F? I know there can always be differences I might not know about. Thanks, diy'er.
