turn high beams on-car shuts off?!?!?! 700 88

Ok, well, as if the car running lean wasn't bad enough there is more...

When i click or hold the high/low beam switch on the column to high- the car shuts off! The left blinker also lights up dim at the same time (on the dash and the actual turn signals). Anyone got any ideas-where are the grounds for everything?!?!?! any help is appreciated!
