brakes growl... pads are ok. 900 94

I have a 94 940. The brakes make a terrible grinding/growling noise, it sounds like the pads are totally gone, but they're almost new. It also sqeaks around turns. I don't know what side it is coming from, but it sounds expensive. Please give me some ideas of what to look for.
