Misc questions 700 1989

I was just playing with the intercooler on my 740 turbo wagon earlier today, and when I took it out, I noticed a little mini-radiator lookin' thing sandwiched between the intercooler and whatever the thing in front of it is (not radiator, some other radiator looking thing that has an electric fan on it).

I'm under the assumption that the first in the stack of radiator looking things is something to do with the AC, second is the thing I can't figure out, third is the intercooler and finally there's the radiator. And if the little thing sandwiched between the AC and the intercooler is another AC thing, then what the heck is that diagonally mounted radiator lookin' thing to the right (drivers side) of the radiator/intercooler/AC sandwich?

I was under the assumption that the diagonal thing was a type of tranny oil cooler, but whenever I'm done driving (hard) that thing's cool to the touch. Maybe there's a clogged tube somewhere?

Thanks
